This year the Deputy Leader of the Australian Greens, Dr Mehreen Faruqi, is hosting an in-person Nup to the Cup event on Melbourne Cup Day.
Year after year we witness the needless, painful deaths and horrible suffering of horses on racetracks in Australia. The reality is that one racehorse dies from racing-related injuries every 2.5 days.
Join Senator Faruqi to reflect on what we’ve achieved together so far in the campaign to end these carnivals of cruelty, and consider what comes next.
Note: The ticket price of $15 will cover food, drink, and venue costs
